Return Policy

Hollywood Sheet Music strives to achieve 100% customer satisfaction. We understand that this means there will be times when you would like to return an item to us. The information below provides our policy on returns and the procedure to follow in the event of a return. If, at any time, you would like to speak with someone regarding the items received or to arrange for a return, please contact us at 818.567.4338 or send an email to custserve@hollywoodsheetmusic.com

May I return merchandise to Hollywood Sheet  Music?

Yes. Within 10 days of the receipt of your order, you may return any item for a refund provided that the:

         Your return is authorized by our Customer Service Department  at  818.567.4338 or email  custserve@hollywoodsheetmusic.com

         Item is in new condition ( free of creases, scratches, writing, stickers, or punctures) with original receipt, packaging and accessories

         Item was received damaged or defective

         Incorrect item was shipped

         The item was not a special order. Special ordered items are not returnable.

         The item was purchased from Hollywood Sheet Music.

         We do not accept returned items more than 20 days after delivery.

*RESTRICTED ITEMS

Videos / DVD's, SongKits, Preview, ShowTrax / ChoirTrax CD's, Midi File Disks, scores, single music sheets (including choral pieces) & musicals (Christmas pageants etc.) can only be exchanged for another of the same title when found to be damaged or defective. This is due to the nature of the formats and the ease in which they can be copied and to prevent sending items back that are used for evaluation purposes and can not be resold as new.  Books with CDís/DVDís attached to a cover are also not returnable.

Christmas musicals, midi disks, songbooks etc. will not be accepted as returns after Dec 15th unless it was delivered after said date. Preview CD's are non returnable items

Exceptions: If the above items are wrapped in cellophane which has not been removed,or if itís a book with CD/DVD and the envelope is unopened, we will accept those back for credit or refund.  However, if the item has been used (cellophane removed), the customer service manager must approve a one time courtesy return and a 25% restocking fee would be deducted from the credit or refund. Choral Musical Preview CD's are not accepted back unless the cellophane has not been removed. Note: Some customers mistake a midi disk for a CD. Many PianoSoft products come in a jewel case that looks like a CD but is really a 3 1/2 inch floppy disk. All one time courtesy returns must first be approved by our customer service manager.

For all other non-returnable product, exceptions can be granted by the customer service manager for a one time courtesy exception  as long as the excluded item(s) are in new condition. Damaged items will not be accepted or an appropiate restocking fee will be assessed

 

Do I have to pay the shipping to send something back?

If you are returning an item because of an error on our part or because of a defect, we will refund the delivery charges incurred in sending the item to you and your costs in returning it to us.

If your return is not the result of our error, the shipping costs associated with your return will be deducted from the amount of the credit or refund. Once your return has been received, a credit or refund will be issued within 21 days and an e-mail confirmation will be sent. These returns are subject to the return fees listed below.

Will I receive full credit for my returned items?

Once your returned items have arrived, you will receive a credit on the card used to purchase the items. You will receive credit equivalent to the amount paid for the items, with the following exceptions:

  All returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee.

  All returned items that were backordered will be charged a 15% restocking fee.

  Any item that has been damaged in transit is subject to a 25% restocking fee.

  Any item that is deemed to be in unsalable condition will be given a 50% credit.

  Any unauthorized returns, including items not purchased from Hollywood Sheet Music, will       receive no credit.

How do I return something to Hollywood Sheet  Music?

To return an item, please contact our Customer Service department at 818.782.3463, or email us at custserve@hollywoodsheetmusic.com within the first ten (10) days after receipt of your order. You will be provided with a Return Authorization (RA) number that must be included when sending your merchandise back. Returns will not be accepted without a RA number.

If you are replying by email, please include the Order Number and the Product Number(s) for all items you wish to return. In the case of a defective product or incorrect shipment, please provide information in your communication on the defect . All returned items must be received within ten (10) business days from the time the RA number is generated. For items returned after the ten (10) day period, only 50% credit will be given.

After packaging the items for return, you must write the RMA number on the outside of the package. The RA number is only good for the products authorized for return. Return packages must be returned using a delivery service that provides tracking information (UPS, Federal Express). Do not send your package via the US Postal Service.
